Kratki Cast Iron Fireplaces

Kratki Cast Iron Fireplaces are engineered to deliver exceptional performance, durability and efficient home heating. Designed and manufactured in Poland, these Kratki freestanding wood-burning fireplaces are built from thick, high-quality cast iron that absorbs heat quickly and continues to radiate warmth long after the fire has subsided. This excellent heat retention makes cast iron one of the most effective materials for wood-burning fireplaces. Manufactured with a minimum wall thickness of 8 mm. Many freestanding fireplace models feature a double-layer cast iron construction for increased strength and longevity.

Combining traditional materials with modern combustion technology, Kratki fireplaces offer efficient closed-combustion heating while maintaining the timeless appeal of a real wood fire. Their robust construction, clean-burning performance and classic European styling make them an excellent choice for homeowners looking for a reliable heating solution that will last for many years.

Kratki is one of the premium wood-burning fireplace brands in South Africa. They are the leading fireplace brand in Poland where the average temperatures around -3°C and temperatures drop as low as -40°C in some regions. Designed with strength and durability at its core.

Kratki’s wood-burning range includes a wide selection of freestanding closed-combustion fireplaces. All Kratki’s wood-burning fireplaces come with a 10-year warranty.

South African winters may be shorter than those in Europe, but efficient heating is still essential in many regions. Kratki cast iron fireplaces are designed to provide dependable warmth while using firewood efficiently. Their heavy cast iron construction stores heat and releases it gradually, helping maintain comfortable room temperatures even after the flames have reduced.

Whether installed in a mountain retreat, coastal home or family living room, a Kratki cast iron fireplace offers reliable heating together with the authentic atmosphere of a real wood fire.

Lighting your fireplace for the first time

When lighting your new fireplace for the first time, choose a day when you can open your windows and doors wide.
During the first fire, excess oils and paint residues from the manufacturing process burn off. This can create a hazy smoke and a noticeable smell in the room. This is completely normal and is simply part of the initial curing process. Keep the room well ventilated for a few hours, and the haze will clear.
Please see Kratki guidelines for further information.
