Description
Charnwood Arc 7 Wood Burning Stove
The Charnwood Arc 7 is a contemporary multi-fuel stove designed for larger rooms and open-plan living areas.
With a 7 kW nominal heat output, the Arc 7 provides a higher level of heat for larger spaces. Its clean, modern design and large fire-viewing window make the stove a strong focal point in the room.
The Arc 7 is part of Charnwood’s Arc range and features an innovative combustion system designed for clean and efficient burning.
The Charnwood Arc 7 fireplace low stand is the larger of the two ‘Arc’ stoves in the series. The Arc 7 is also available with the ‘store stand’.
The Arc 7 demonstrates exceptional control and ease of use. Take a look at the video on the ‘Technical’ page to see just how much control!
Like it’s smaller counterpart, the Arc 5, the Arc 7 features heat shields as standard. This feature allows you to place the stove closer to combustible materials than a normal stove. This in turn, makes it a good choice for tight spots in rooms. It also comes with a multi-fuel converting grate as standard. This allows the user to burn anthracite as well as wood.
The Arc has been rated as a 11KW max stove. So this means that it will heat around 275 m³ of room space
7 kW Multi-Fuel Fireplace
The Charnwood Arc 7 has a 7 kW rated output, with an output range of 5–11 kW.
When burning wood, the Arc 7 achieves 81% net efficiency. Charnwood also specifies 79% net efficiency when burning solid fuel (Anthracite).
The Fireplace accepts wood logs up to 325 mm (12.5 inches) long.
For South African homes, the 7 kW output makes the Arc 7 suitable for larger living areas where a higher heat output is required.
Large View of the Fire
The Arc 7 features a large ceramic glass window that provides a clear view of the flames.
Its contemporary design keeps the stove visually clean while placing the fire at the centre of the room.
Cleanburn Airwash Technology helps keep the glass clearer while the stove is operating.
Charnwood Arc 7 Store Stand
The Arc 7 is available with a Store Stand, which raises the stove from floor level and creates an integrated area beneath the appliance.
The Store Stand version weighs approximately 170 kg and measures approximately:
- 502 mm wide
- 449 mm deep
- 894 mm high
The Arc 7 is also available in a Low Stand configuration.
Clean and Efficient Burning
The Charnwood Arc 7 incorporates several technologies designed to support clean and controlled combustion.
These include:
- SIA Eco Design Ready
- Cleanburn Airwash Technology
- Quattroflow Air Management System
- Converting grate
- Drop-down throat plate
- Inverted flue collar
- Ceramic glass
The drop-down throat plate allows the chimney to be swept through the stove. The inverted flue collar provides a seamless flue connection.
Multi-Fuel Stove
The Charnwood Arc 7 is a true multi-fuel stove.
Its converting grate allows the appliance to accommodate different solid fuels. Charnwood’s technical documentation provides separate performance figures for wood logs and smokeless fuel.
For wood burning, Charnwood specifies a 7.5 kW test output and 81% net efficiency. For smokeless fuel, the test output is 7.7 kW with 79% net efficiency.
Flue and Installation
The Arc 7 has a 150 mm (6 inch) diameter flue outlet with top or rear connection options.
Available options include:
- Vertical rear flue adaptor
- Rear heatshield
- Flue boiler
- Optional drawer
- Store Stand
- Choice of eight colours
Installation must follow the manufacturer’s installation requirements and applicable South African regulations.
The manufacturer also specifies minimum clearances from combustible materials, which must be considered when planning the installation.
Charnwood Arc 7 for South African Homes
The Charnwood Arc 7 wood burning stove combines a 7 kW heat output with contemporary styling and a wide view of the fire.
It is designed for larger rooms and open-plan areas where the stove can provide both heating and a strong visual focal point.
