Description

Kratki K12 Freestanding Cast Iron Fireplace

The Kratki K12 is a freestanding cast iron fireplace designed for efficient wood burning and reliable home heating. With a 9kW heat output, 83% efficiency and a heating capacity of 140–225m³, it is suited to medium-sized living spaces.

Built from durable Class 200 cast iron, the K12 weighs 102kg and is designed to provide excellent heat retention and long-term durability. Its compact freestanding design makes it suitable for contemporary homes where efficient heating and a traditional wood fire are required.

The Kratki K12 uses a closed-combustion system with primary, secondary and tertiary combustion. A triple deflector system helps improve combustion efficiency and heat retention, while the air-wash system helps keep the viewing glass clearer during operation.

With its simple black finish and compact footprint, the K12 works well as a freestanding wood-burning fireplace and a practical heating solution for the home.

Kratki K12 Cast Iron Fireplace

The Kratki K12 cast iron fireplace is designed for homeowners looking for durable wood-fired heating in a compact freestanding format. Its cast iron construction provides strength and excellent thermal properties.

Cast iron is well suited to wood-burning fireplaces because it can withstand high operating temperatures and continues to radiate heat after the fire has reduced. The K12 combines this traditional material with modern closed-combustion technology for controlled and efficient wood burning.

The K12 is also part of Italfire’s range of cast iron fireplaces, giving homeowners a choice of freestanding and built-in wood-burning models in different heat outputs and designs.

Why Choose the Kratki K12 Freestanding Fireplace?

The Kratki K12 combines compact dimensions with the durability of a cast iron wood-burning fireplace.

9kW Wood-Burning Heat Output

The K12 delivers up to 9kW of heat and has a stated heating capacity of 140–225m³. Suitable for medium-sized living areas and open-plan spaces where effective wood-fired heating is required.

Durable Cast Iron Construction

Manufactured from Class 200 cast iron and weighs 102kg. Cast iron provides excellent durability and helps the fireplace retain and radiate heat.

Efficient Closed-Combustion Design

With 83% efficiency, the K12 is designed to extract more useful heat from the wood being burned. Its closed-combustion design also provides controlled airflow for efficient burning.

Primary, Secondary and Tertiary Combustion

Three stages of combustion help the K12 burn wood efficiently. Two air-control levers allow the combustion air to be regulated during operation.

Triple Deflector System

A triple deflector system helps improve combustion efficiency and retain heat within the fireplace before the flue gases exit.

Air-Wash Glass Cleaning

A dedicated secondary air supply helps reduce soot deposits on the heat-resistant glass. This allows a clearer view of the flames during operation.

External Air Supply

The K12 can be connected to an external fresh-air supply. The built-in external air inlet has a 100mm diameter, allowing combustion air to be supplied directly from outside.

Easy Ash Removal

A removable slide-out ash box makes routine ash removal and fireplace cleaning easier.

Adjustable Feet

Level and set adjustable feet on the K12 fireplace to the required height during installation.

10-Year Warranty

Kratki wood-burning fireplaces are supplied with a 10-year warranty, subject to Kratki’s warranty conditions. Designed with strength and durability at its core and will last for many years to come.

Lighting your fireplace for the first time

When lighting your new fireplace for the first time, choose a day when you can open your windows and doors wide.
During the first fire, excess oils and paint residues from the manufacturing process burn off. This can create a hazy smoke and a noticeable smell in the room. This is completely normal and is simply part of the initial curing process. Keep the room well ventilated for a few hours, and the haze will clear.
Please see Kratki guidelines for further information.
