Technical specifications
The Alta pairs sleek and contemporary design with the most modern technology in fireplace combustion. With very impressive technical specifications, this closed-combustion fireplace is an excellent heating solution for anyone looking for a high-performance, wood-burning fireplace. This compact insert fireplace can be used for narrower fireplace cavity spaces from around a 700mm width.
Considering that these fireplaces are built to last Poland’s harsh winters, the Alta is manufactured with thick, high-quality steel – which is reflected in the solid weight of the fireplace.
The Alta has a modern glass door with black edging, providing a beautiful view of the flames. For improved safety and performance, as well as to increase their lifespan, the heat-resistant glass is of the highest quality. Thanks to the specialised, air-wash glass cleaning system, the soot deposits on the fireplace glass are greatly reduced. In addition, the units come with a removable ash box for simple and easy cleaning.
The burn chambers of the Alta units are lined with Kratki’s signature ceramics. When it comes to the choice of materials that can be used inside a fireplace chamber, these thick, heat-intensifying ceramics offer the best thermal properties available offering a cleaner burn and maximum heat output.
Heat-intensifying ceramics
Ceramics have the best thermal properties when it comes to the choice of materials available for lining the internal burn chamber of steel fireplaces.
Ceramics have a far better lifespan and more heating potential than other inferior materials, such as vermiculite or fire bricks. For these reasons, Kratki has chosen to use ceramics inside their steel fireplace range.
Their signature ceramics are designed to reflect intense heat through the glass into the room. This is well-suited to South African homes where we look for the convenience of instant heating.
All Kratki’s wood-burning fireplaces come with a 10-year warranty. As a result, you can be confident that your fireplace has been designed with strength and durability at its very core and will last for many years to come.
When cleaning your The Kratki Ildnord Alta built in Fireplace glass we recommend you use the Kratki glass cleaning spray.
